Cannes Festival

I am back! It's been a while since I've made some new post, but here I am again, with my favorite gowns of Cannes Festival 2014.

As probably most of you know, Cannes International Film Festival is an annual event held in Cannes, France, which previews new films from varied categories. The most prestigious price for the best film is called "Golden Palm" and it's given from a jury. Unfortunately the event is non-public which means that only the greatest celebrities, movie stars, producers etc. so in other words the cream of society is able to participate.
Where there is a big even there are beautiful gowns as well as hair styles, sparkling shoes and inlaid diamond necklaces. Handsome actors with a company of their pretty wives, gossips, new relationship of stars, extravagant, bizarre but still stunning outfits, and of course new films we, plane people, are waiting for for another "ages" (YES! I meant "The Mockingjay"). I think all of us love Cannes Festival. Fashion loves it the most!

Here are some gorgeous and unforgettable gowns beloved by me and the world of fashion.

1. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Gucci at the premiere of "The Search"
Generally I found her dresses the most beautiful ones this year. I believe I loved all of them, but that one from Gucci is especially eye-catching and delicate. It perfectly combines with Rosie's complexion and hair color and it is metallic, so nothing more in style! It is worth adding that probably Rosie would look perfect in everything since she is gorgeous :)

2. Cara Delevingne in Roberto Cavalli; De Grisogono "Fatale in Cannes" party
Of course I have to mention my all time favorite model, because I wouldn't be me if I didn't.
Completely different from Rosie outfit, but that bohemian dress is so Cannes' to me! Small ornaments, sexy cut out on the back and unique monkey necklace are creating perfect light but chick look.

3. Arlenis Sosa in (my beloved) Ellie Saab at Chopard party
I feel like I love white right now, and stars love white too! It is great as it will always be in favor. I adore the gown, how it is sewed and also the material of it. What is more the 'royal' jewelry is simply wonderful.
(should I be more strict? I think I just can't in those cases!)

And now people!

This year I was delighted by cocktail and evening dresses of Blake Lively. You know that I love her style and I wasn't disappointed at all. All of her outfits were perfect (actually she's almost always perfect, but whatever)

When it comes to disappointments I have to mention Jennifer Lawrence. Her Dior dresses and a playsuit were just OK. Nothing more, and I am kind of mad at her since I was expecting more. She look great, especially in that playsuit with golden belt arounf her waist. Nevertheless it is not what I was waiting for.

Stay weird.

I can say that now when I became more self-confident 'Stay Weird' becomes my new life-motto. Feeling good with ourselfs is one of the most important things EVER.

But there is no need to repeat that over and over again, as I write about that in every single post :)

Here are some funny photos which were taken yesterday in my living room, where photo studio was instantly created.

When it comes to my inspiration I must mention Cara Delevingne. But, and what is important, I only took inspiration! I wasn't trying to look similar or what is more identical since firstly I see no point in the need of looking exactly the same and secondly it is obviously impossible. What was essential to me? Having fun and getting more comfortable in front of the camera. I looked through dozens of  her photos to have wider view on generally models job. I searched more about portraits, different face expressions and modeling. I also checked some interviews with Cara connected strictly with posing to photos and working with a photographer . By trying over and over again I achieved results that I enjoy and I hope that you do too!

+ Yes, Cara is my favorite model. I am aware that she's extremely popular nowadays, but actually I know lots of models, and Cara was spotted by me quite recently. I don't follow trends neither of models nor designers. I simply like what I see and enjoy not facts that something is on top today as it might be on the very bottom tomorrow, but I will still like it.

Catwalk and High End Fashion

Everyone who's interested in fashion dreams about having Chanel bag or Jimmy Choo high heels. I am fairly sure they do.
As long as I love making clothes from the old ones, exploring my mum's pieces and looking for bargains at the mall, I also wish to have some high end 'pearls' in my collection.

Some of the designers, models and random people photoed on a Paris' streets are my big inspiration when it comes to fashion.
I try not to follow trends blindly. I do not like most of strange looking clothes from catwalks actually. But I looked at recent fashion shows of my favorites brand and designers and actually enjoyed many of outfits.

I get inspired from way too many movies. But the major inspiration was and will be always Blair Waldorf, played in Gossip Girl by Leighton Meester.

Her style is very characteristic however it always stay classy (not particularly simple). There are few looks of her that wouldn't work without the strong confidence Leighton put into the Blair's character. That is what I adore in High End fashion. Confidence is a think, which everyone is able to see by only looking at a person.
Of course I generalize facts, but I strongly believe that clothes always go with features of character and may help creating good impression or destroy it completely, when people don't know how connect those two things. Feeling precious help being confident. And we ourselfs create prizes of what we wearing (of course, with Burberry coat it would be WAY easier to feel that, but still it is not essential)

Another real lady among people is Blake Lively. She's very unique but still classy. For me, you can feel positive energy from all of her photos. Outfits she creates (or, when it comes to photo sessions, are created for her) are nice especially for me, as she's my height and I can tell precisely if something she wears would look good on me. Her figure convinced me also to wear high heels more often. (still, Vans are my biggest love, but they are completely out of topic :DD)

England loves her. World is talking about her good taste in fashion. Yes, I am talking about Kate Middelton and her royal clothes made in heaven. She's perfection for me. Combining traditional English style with newest trends right from the designer seems to be so easy for Kate!

And now let's talk about wish list. I assume every fashion lover has one. Such a wish list is also kind of essentials I would choose if I had too money to spend :))

1. Chanel Flap Bag with golden details. 

Such bag is like a business card that shows you are classy and tasteful! I love how simply it is. It may be worn either for some dressy occasions or to spice up casual outfit.

2. Burberry trench coat + check cashmere scarf

Again, that is a piece of clothing that matches everything and will be worn very often. It will help you to keep look subtle. As for me, I would choose the longer one from West Minster, classic fit in honey color + classical colored scarf.

3. High heels from Jimmy Choo.

Either they are black or nude, as long as they are pumps, they are perfect mach for all clothes. I would choose nude Anouk ones, but it's just my choice (all of them are perfect)

4. Tiffany & Co. Heart Key Pendant
Breakfast at Tiffany may be the best breakfast ever! Who don't want to have so classic one in their collection?

5. Marc Jacob's watch.

Last, but definitely not least! Big gold watch from Marc Jacobs will look perfect even with white shirt and jeans!

Enough for dreaming! It's time to come back to reality. I hope you like my view on catwalk's fashion.
